Dreams and Desires: An Integral Part of Our World

by Benjamin Kee on May 10, 2010

We had all dreamed big and fancy when we were children. Most of us have not realized the dreams of our childhood. We really can’t understand why we never made real our dreams but we sure do have a reason for having not realized them. They were the dreams of a kid in fantasy land. This reply cannot even convince our own hearts. It is simply an alibi for not achieving what we wanted to do. We have pushed ourselves to settle for less.

To realize dreams, we must stop convincing ourselves that our dreams don’t matter. Every dream that is considered important and plausible is to be pursued with dedication. The process requires planning and timely execution. There can be no success without an organized attitude.

A positive outlook towards things is also essential . Every inch of the road to success is beset with ditches and they have to faced every time one is in them. The dream should be alive even if one faces back breaking defeat. One should avoid the negativity which some people tend to spread. It can affect the intensity of the zeal and sow doubt in the mind.

Pessimism can prevent even the best from making significant achievements. They tend to handcuff one from doing anything productive and as a result the person can get depressed. There is no need for you to put with a person who tends to be acerbic all the time. You have a choice. If you submit to the whim and fancies of others and bank heavily on their opinions you aims can never be achieved.

Pretense and a misplaced sense of pride are qualities that many people have acquired today. All that pretense can do is give a temporary sense of self satisfaction which will soon shatter once reality hits. Despite what one has achieved, it is essential to remian rooted. Only then is possible to continue along the path of success.

It is important to set goals and dream of big things. These are standards that we push to achieve and get the best out of us.
