How To Get Through Double Dating

by Jennifer Hamilton on April 22, 2010

Double dating can be a novel way to go out, especially if you meet someone you like but are too nervous to ask them out on a one to one basis, at least there will be somebody there that you know should things prove a little awkward.

If you have been out of dating for a while, double dating might just help you ease back into it slowly, it might just help if there is someone you know with you just in case the conversation does not flow as it should.

Some people always feel more comfortable trying to get to know their date a little better when their friends are around them.

Double dating also introduces your date to your friends and vice versa, that way both parties get to know a little about the other.

A good idea might be to invite a couple that will tell your date about all the good things about you, even if some of them are made up, this might persuade them to arrange another date with you.

Your date can always find out a lot about you, by getting to know your friends, you may not want to tell them too much straight away, but your friends may want to tell your date exactly what you are like from the outset.

Double dating gives your friends the opportunity to find out what your date is really like, without having to ask you awkward questions that you may not like to tell them straight away, before really getting to know your date properly.

Going on a double date provides you with a feeling of security whilst still giving you the chance to really get to know your date properly.

Double dating is also a good way for your friends to interact with your date, and to see how he responds to them, because at the end of the day you will all need to get along with each other, you do not have to want to choose between your friends and your date.
