How To Increase Your Desktop In Moments Immediately

“Wow, my PC is running badly!” Have you ever said or thought that or something similar? If so then you will be glad to know that you can speed up your slow computer by following some easy steps.

Don’t panic! You can follow these steps with little to no knowledge.

The likelihood of your computer running slower than it used to is because of a few factors. Firstly, as computers get older and used more often, the registry of the PC builds up useless entries that slow your PC’s processes down. Also there may be a lot of data and software on your computer that you no longer need but is filling up hard drive space. In addition if the computer is often used for web browsing, no doubt you have unwittingly downloaded some adware or spyware which is notoriously known to slow a computers performance.

Follow the list below to help increase the speed of your computer again:

- Clear your browsing data – In the option menu of most browsers such as Firefox and Internet Explorer, there is an option to clear certain files that you download and use when browsing the World Wide Web. These include such files as temporary Internet files, cookies, cache and other data. By clearing or deleting these files you may find web browsing is sped up, especially if this process has not been performed for a while

- Disk Clean Up Tool – For users of Windows then click the start menu followed by accessories and run the d’isk cleanup′ tool to remove unused and unwanted files from your drive.

- Windows Fragmenter – Go to start menu, then accessories and ‘disk defragmenter’. This may take a while but once completed your files on the hard drive will be logically arranged and therefore your programs and files will open quicker.

- Anti Virus – Ensure that your anti-virus software is always up to date and that it is set to ‘automatic update′ in the software settings. This will make sure you have the latest security and lessen the risk of infection.

- Computer Firewall – Check that your Firewall is up to date and set at a medium to high level of security.

Remove unwanted software – programs and software that you no longer need are best un-installed. This will help with the speed of your PC as well as give you more room on your hard drive.

- Adware/Spyware Software – It is best to use a dedicated software program to detect adware and spyware if you surf the Internet. Just by visiting certain sites can mean you get infected and normal anti-virus software does not always detect it. Having dedicated software is the best way to ensure your PC is clean and running faster.

- Registry Check – This is another way to speed your computer by using a registry cleaner. It removes unwanted entries from your PC and therefore speeds up the overall performance of your computer.

If you follow the steps above, you should have a noticeably speedier computer. If not then maybe you need to upgrade some parts such as graphics card, CPU or memory.

Not all anti-virus software does a good job against adware, use a dedicated program. Adware and spyware are very similar, they just have slightly different purposes. It is best to use a dedicated adware/spyware program to detect all the latest threats. Adware Software
